Michael W. Petrucci

Judge Michael Petrucci is the Magisterial District Judge in the Newtown, Bucks County Pennsylvania District court where he has served the community since January 2016. The municipalities served include Newtown Borough, Newtown Township, Wightstown Township, and Upper Makefield Township. After taking the bench Judge Petrucci has implemented many programs for youthful nonviolent offenders including re-initiating the “Youth Aide Panel“ throughout the jurisdiction which includes participation from an all-volunteer panel and every police department within the venue. Judge Petrucci quickly became involved with the Special Court Judge Association of Pennsylvania where he continues to volunteer his time on three sub-committees: the Constable Relations committee, Budget & Finance committee and the Judicial Security committee. Judge Petrucci enjoys working within the District 12 Judge Association and has become active in the Bucks County District Judge Association where he has served as President and Vice President. Judge Petrucci also sits on both the County Security committee for the courts and also the Central Booking sub-committee. Judge Petrucci is passionate about community service. He has been a past President of the Newtown Business Association and takes pride in helping with countless community events. Judge Petrucci is an active member of the Newtown International Rotary and has participated in several community charitable causes to include; Penndot road clean up, Pedals for Progress, Breakfast with Santa and the local food pantry. Judge Petrucci is the proud co-founder of “Shop with a Cop“, a national community organization that includes multiple police agencies helping those in need around the holiday season to a shopping spree. Annually, this organization helps more than 500 local children and their families have a brighter holiday season. Before becoming a District Judge, Petrucci was a young entrepreneur owning several franchise companies throughout the region. In 1998, Ernst & Young named Judge Petrucci ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ where he became the youngest recipient of the award. Petrucci later became involved with Law Enforcement and was elected PA State constable where he performed those duties for multiple District Courts around the County. Judge Petrucci is married to his High-School sweetheart Karen; they have two children, Anthony and Angela. When not in the courtroom or serving the community, Judge Petrucci can be found spending his time with his family on the beaches of Brigantine, NJ.
