Kelley Gillette-Walker
Judge Kelley Gillette-Walker was elected to Magisterial District Court 49-3-02 in 2013, being sworn in and taking the bench in January 2014. In 2017, she became active with the Special Court Judges Association of Pennsylvania and began serving on the Computer Technology Committee and the Rules Committee. In 2019 Judge Gillette-Walker was asked to chair the Rules Committee. The Judge began serving on the President’s Advisory Board in 2021 and has served continuously since then. In 2024, she ran for and was unanimously elected as the Second Vice President of the Association.
Judge Gillette-Walker has been active in her own district, District 2, since she was elected. In 2020, she was elected as the Director of District 2. Due to being elected Second Vice President of the Special Court Judges Association in 2024, she had to step down as Director of District 2 and was subsequently elected as the Secretary of District 2.
In addition to her service to the Special Court Judges Association and District 2, Judge Gillette-Walker was appointed to serve on the Supreme Court Minor Court Rules Committee in 2023, with her term to expire in 2029. She was also asked to serve on the Supreme Court Artificial Intelligence Committee in 2024.
Within her home district, Judge Gillette-Walker is an active volunteer with several school districts. She volunteers with Prom Promise messaging by conducting mock arraignments, serves as a judge for Mock Trials, provides career insight to students, conducts tours of the county courthouse for students, volunteers with the parent organization of her child’s school and she also serves as an instructor for the Centre County Crisis Intervention Training program.
Judge Gillette-Walker is a licensed attorney in Pennsylvania. Prior to being elected, she was an assistant district attorney for Centre County. Before being appointed as an assistant district attorney, she was a shareholder with a private law firm for almost 10 years. Judge Gillette-Walker earned her Bachelor of the Arts in Political Science with a minor in Business Administration from the Pennsylvania State University and her Juris Doctor from the James E. Beasley School of Law at Temple University.
