Katherine E. McGill, Esq.
Judge McGill has served the Springfield Township since 2011 as a Magisterial District Judge. Her favorite part of her job is helping resolve disputes between people in her community. She also loves when students visit her court for field trips and they participate in mock trials. Judge McGill is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania where she received her B.A. in Political Science and graduated cum laude. She went on to Temple Beasley School of Law where she received her J.D. after spending much of her time on Temple’s National Trial Team. Prior to her service as Judge, Judge McGill was an Assistant District Attorney with the Montgomery County District Attorney’s office where she specialized in sex crimes and economic crimes prosecution. Judge McGill is president of the Montgomery County Special Court Judges Association, a member of the Montgomery Bar Association and serves Magisterial Judges around the state as a member of the Ethics and Professionalism Committee. She lives in Springfield with her family.
