Nicholas Martini
In 2021, Judge Nicholas C. Martini was elected by the people of Pittsburgh’s West End to serve as their magisterial district judge. As a lifelong West Ender, Judge Martini has a deep appreciation for the communities he serves.
Prior to being elected, his almost two decade career included: teaching in Pittsburgh’s Public Schools, serving City and State government constituents, making technical contributions in the Allegheny County Controller‘s Office, and holding managerial positions with the City of Pittsburgh and Stowe Township. During his tenure with the City of Pittsburgh and it’s school district, he was an active union member with both the Pittsburgh Federation of Teachers and the American Federation of State, County & Municipal Employees. Through his extensive public service, he developed an acumen for the communities and people he serves as magisterial district judge.
Judge Martini is a proud alumnus of both Bishop Canevin High School and Robert Morris University. At Robert Morris, he graduated magna cum laude with a double major in Political Science/Economics and Social Studies Education as well as a minor in American History. In June 2021, he completed the rigorous Pennsylvania Minor Judiciary Board certification course, which is required by the Commonwealth to serve as a magisterial district judge.
In addition to his educational and professional background, Judge Martini is a past recipient of the prestigious American Legion School Award as well as the Thomas Starzl Transplant Institute Medal of Honor. His previous volunteer experience encompasses nonprofit board director leadership, neighborhood litter management, middle school mentorship, reading tutoring, and umpiring youth sports.
